Mary Lou Ayers A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 8th for 89-year-old Mary Lou Ayers of Ste. Genevieve who died Tuesday. She was born January 22nd, 1910 in Knob Lick, the daughter of Patrick Acuff and Flora (Marshall) Acuff, who both preceded in death. She married Orville "Buss" Ayers of Ste. Genevieve on August 23rd, 1934. He survives. She is also survived by three sisters: Virginia James of Marble Hill, Margaret Fast of Festus and Velma Wallace of Ste. Genevieve. One brother and one sister also preceded in death. She was a member of Eastern Star for 58 years at Victory Chapel No. 431 in Marble Hill, First United Methodist Church, Marble Hill, Charter member of the Historical Society of Marble Hill and served as Bollinger County librarian from her appointment in 1956, until her retirement in 1983. Visitation after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A funeral service for 89-year-old Mary Lou Ayers of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. Burial in the Crestlawn Cemetery. The Reverend W. Michael Woods will officiate. Memorials may be made to charity of choice. |
