Jane Bauman Kniestedt

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 22, 1999 for 62-year-old Jane Bauman Kniestedt of Frohna, who died Monday. She was born March 9th, 1937 in Zell, the daughter of Fred and Grace (Grein) Bauman, who both preceded in death.

She married Thomas Kniestedt on April 19, 1958. He survives in Frohna.

She is also survived by three daughters: Susan Trautman and Mary Neels, both of Sunset Hills; Karen Potter of Glendale, Wisconsin and one brother: James Kniestedt of Frohna.

She is also survived by three sisters: Vernetta Heil and Rita Ramer, both of Ste. Genevieve and Henrietta Bartels of St. Mary and by three brothers: Herbert Bauman of Ste. Genevieve, David Bauman of Memphis, Tennessee and Carroll Bauman of Bonita Spring, Florida.

Six grandchildren also survive.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

She was retired from St. John's Hospital Edgewood Program.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, Altenburg Lions, former president of Southeast Missouri Master Gardener, secretary to State Advisory Board and St. Joseph Shrine and Redecorating Committee.

Visitation will be from 2:30-9 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30-9:20 a.m. Thursday at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Wake service at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

A funeral mass for 62-year-old Jane Bauman Kniestedt of Frohna will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek. Burial in the Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Mark Bozada will officiate.

Memorials are preferred to the St. Joseph Apple Creek Preservation Fund.
